The need for this type of help is growing each year and the desired skill sets are becoming even more diverse over time. The great thing about this profession is that it is not limited to a specific geographic location. For instance, you could live in the state of Texas and accept a position for a company in New Zealand. Here is a list of some of the highest paying virtual assistant positions.

Companies of all sizes and industries commonly outsource various accounting functions such as payroll, expense reports, payables, receivables, and financial forecasting. On average, a virtual assistant could make more than $55,000 a year.

A virtual assistant working for a real estate company would be responsible for various job functions such as creating documentation to be mailed or emailed, designing flyers, posting property listings on the website, scheduling showing appointments, coordinating appraisals/inspections, etc. Highly skilled assistants can make anywhere between $50 and $100 an hour.
