Unfortunately, cheating happens all too often, even in loving, committed relationships and marriages. After all, men are visual creatures so most face temptation all the time. Here are some of the most common reasons men cheat.

1. Variety is the spice of life

Most men naturally have a desire to sample different women, getting something unique from the various body shapes, hair colors, personalities, and even the way the women kiss and make love.

2. Relationship trouble

When a man is in a marriage or relationship that involves excessive fighting, controversial opinions, poor sexual connection, and other issues, he is likely going to cheat with another woman. Oftentimes, this is done to get back at the wife or girlfriend or to look for someone new.

3. Opportunity

Some men in healthy and loving relationships cheat when presented with an opportunity. As an example, if a man were out of town on business for weeks, missing his partner, and one night he stops by the bar for a drink only to be approached, flirted with, and propositioned by a gorgeous woman, he now has an opportunity.

Men (and women) cheat because they want to be challenged. Remember the days you were single? It was a challenge to court the other sex (or partner). Just because a man is married or is committed does not take away his challenge instincts. The key of course id to know you ARE in a committed relationship, so the urge to go after the opposite sex is beaten down by the idea of fidelity.
